April 29, Fineko/abc.az. Dubai authorities will allocate 128 billion dirhams ($34.8 bn) for the construction of a new passenger terminal at Al Maktoum International Airport in the southern part of the city.

ABC.AZ reports, quoting the Emir of Dubai, Prime Minister of the UAE Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

"Today, we’ve approved the project of a new passenger terminal at Al Maktoum International Airport. We’ve ordered the construction of a passenger terminal within the strategy developed by the Dubai Aviation Corporation," the UAE PM said.

He noted that Al Maktoum Airport will be 5-fold larger than the current Dubai International Airport.
