April 25, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan’s space agency Azercosmos has created a special platform that allows tracking the effects of climate change in a certain area and in a certain time zone.

ABC.AZ reports that Azercosmos chairman of board Sameddin Asadov said about this when speaking at the 3rd meeting of heads of space agencies of the Organization of Turkic States in Ankara.

Asadov noted that platform climatereport.az was launched this year and provides information on droughts, snow cover, glaciers, water levels in reservoirs, sea level decrease and rise, methane concentration in the atmosphere, soil salinity, etc.

Azercosmos’ head also invited the participants of the event to COP29 conference to be held in Baku in November.

Asadov noted that Azerbaijan will host the 4th meeting of the heads of the OTS space agencies in Baku in 2025.
