Bulgaria Air to start flights to Baku

March 15, Fineko/abc.az. The Council of Ministers of Bulgaria has appointed Bulgaria Air as the official carrier of direct international flight Sofia-Baku.

ABC.AZ reports that Azerbaijani Ambassador to Bulgaria Huseyn Huseynov wrote about this on social network X.

"Bulgaria Air plans to operate regular passenger flights via Sofia-Baku-Sofia route every two weeks. These plans are designed to facilitate travel between the two countries, while opening up new opportunities for business and transit passengers," the statement says.

The decree of the Bulgarian government says:

"Bulgaria Air plans to operate regular passenger flights every two weeks via Sofia-Baku-Sofia route. This is intended to facilitate travel between the two countries, while opening up new opportunities for businessmen and transit passengers. This initiative marks a significant step forward in strengthening communication between Bulgaria and the Caspian Sea region, offering travelers increased accessibility and convenience. Citizens will enjoy greater ease of travel, and transit passengers from neighboring countries will be attracted by the unhindered communication offered by this new air route."
