March 15, Fineko/abc.az. For Jan-Feb 2024, enterprises and individuals working in the transport sector transported 35.2 million tons of cargo and 294.4 million passengers.

Compared with Jan-Feb 2023, freight traffic increased by 4.1% and passenger traffic by 8.4%, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee.

54.7% of cargo was transported by road, 33.0% by pipeline, 8.5% by rail, 3.6% by sea and 0.2% by air. 87.5% of passengers were carried by cars, 11.9% by metro, and the rest by other means of transport.
