February 14, Fineko/abc.az. Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law on confiscation of property for fakes about the Russian army and crimes against state security.

The document is published on the official portal of legal information.

The law amends the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and expands the list of crimes for which confiscation of property may be provided. Now such a punishment can be established for the public dissemination of deliberately false information about the Russian Armed Forces and about the execution of their powers by state bodies (Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), as well as for public calls for activities directed against the security of the state (Article 280.4 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). It is clarified that speech is about crimes committed for selfish reasons.
