February 13, Fineko/abc.az. Work is underway on the creation of the Europe-Caucasus-Asia Transport Corridor Fund (TRACECA), which may begin operations next year.

ABC.AZ reports that by Rufat Bayramov, National Secretary of the TRACECA Intergovernmental Commission for Azerbaijan.

"Work is currently underway on Fund’s Charter. This year, a meeting of the TRACECA Intergovernmental Commission will be held in Iran. We are preparing all the documents so that a decision on the creation of the Fund can be made at the meeting. The Fund may start operating next year," he said.

According to Bayramov, all TRACECA countries, international commercial companies and other interested parties will be invited to the Fund.

"Fund’s main purpose is development of TRACECA and implementation of infrastructure projects," he added.
