February 8, Fineko/abc.az. The Ministries of Labor & Social Protection of Azerbaijan and Türkiye are negotiating cooperation in the field of pensions and pension provision, social protection.

ABC.AZ was informed at the Ministry that in this regard, the delegation of the Ministry of Labor & Social Protection of Azerbaijan visited the Ministry of Labor & Social Protection of Türkiye.

The governments of Azerbaijan and Türkiye are working over updating the agreement on cooperation in the field of social protection signed on July 17, 1998 in accordance with modern requirements.

The purpose of the agreement is to expand the coverage of citizens of both countries with social protection tools. At a meeting between experts from the two ministries, the text of a new draft of the agreement was agreed upon, and mutual technical adjustments are currently being made to this document.

The updated draft agreement envisages cooperation in the field of pension and preferential provision, social protection of citizens of both countries.
