February 1, Fineko/abc.az. Many countries and companies have stated that after certain period of time they will only produce cars with an electric motor.

ABC.AZ reports that Gizilgul Hasanova, an employee of the Environmental Policy Department of the Ministry of Ecology & Natural Resources, stated about this at a roundtable dedicated to the disposal of vehicles, the current situation and upcoming issues.

She noted that the trend of replacing traditional vehicles with eco-friendly electric and hybrid engines is gaining momentum in the world.

Hasanova noted that by presidential order from January 27, 2024, a Fund for the disposal of vehicles was established, and by resolution from January 31, 2024, the Procedure for the formation and use of finances from this Fund was approved. The disposal fee will be charged only for vehicles with service life of over 4 years.
