ABC.AZ reports that MP Hikmet Babaoglu stated about this at a Milli Majlis meeting.

The MP emphasized that our roads have changed, there are more people:

"When applying certain rules regarding the use of roads, first of all it is necessary to take into account the convenience of citizens. There is a question of setting speed limit on the roads. Those who set speed limits today must provide a report, a comparative analysis of what is achieved when the speed limit is reduced, how much accidents are reduced, how much time does a citizen gain? How many accidents were there when the speed was 110 km/h, and how many accidents were there when the speed was 90 km/h? Let them bother to submit reports. When the speed decreases, fuel consumption increases, we poison ourselves. Lowering the speed limit creates stress for citizens and affects their health. The same issues concern roads Baku-Guba and Baku-Ganja. The speed limit on these roads has also been reduced from 110 to 90 km/h."
