January 30, Fineko/abc.az. AzerGold CJSC, taking into account the acts of cyber fraud committed on its behalf, urged the public to be careful and not to be deceived by fake advertising campaigns.

ABC.AZ reports that Zakir Ibragimov, chairman of board at AzerGold, delivered speech at a press conference.

"Thus, during phishing attacks, AzerGold appears to be the organizer of various "investment" projects on social media platforms, a link is given to a simulated version of the official website of the joint-stock company, image videos are taken out of context through special programs and used as a phishing tool," the chair said.

"The purpose is to obtain financial personal data of citizens, the appropriation of their financial resources. Considering all this, we recommend that you receive information about the activity of the joint-stock company from the official information resources of the company, as well as from reliable sources, when faced with such cases aimed at fraud, do not click on the links provided, but immediately contact the relevant law enforcement agencies," Ibragimov added.
