January 30, Fineko/abc.az. Last year, 50,700 citizens in Azerbaijan were assigned disability.

ABC.AZ reports that Anar Bayramov, the chairman of the State Agency for Medical & Social Expertise & Rehabilitation (under the Ministry of Labor & Social Protection), said about this.

Bayramov noted that last year Agency's rehabilitation centers rendered rehabilitation services to 87,700 citizens with disabilities (74% more than in the previous year).

"Rehabilitation services at home were rendered to 1,437 citizens (6-fold more than in the previous year). In addition, 10,500 people were provided with 91,400 rehabilitation facilities. After the Patriotic War, 11,000 family members of martyrs and war veterans received 56,300 rehabilitation services, 460 people were provided with 481 modern high-tech prostheses," he said.
