January 25, Fineko/abc.az. IT-Azerbaijan's products are exported to more than 30 countries around the world.

ABC.AZ reports that Farid Kazimov, the chairman of Azerbaijan Consortium of Export of Innovations (AZINNEX), said about this during a Baku event on the topic "Non-tariff barriers to trade".

Kazimov stressed that the IT sector in Azerbaijan has begun to develop actively in the last few years.

"There used to be a limited number of companies in Azerbaijan, but now it is increasing. Currently, benefits are applied in the IT sector. The country has created new opportunities in this area, which increases the volume of exports. At that, Azerbaijani companies are moving to foreign markets and IT products are already exported to more than 30 countries around the world," he said.

Over Jan-Dec 2023, information and communication enterprises in Azerbaijan rendered services for 3.206 billion manats. This figure increased by 16.3% versus same term of 2022.

71.8% of these services were rendered to the population.

The revenues from mobile communication services in Azerbaijan totaled 1.158 bn manats (36.1% of the total revenue of the telecommunications market).
