ABC.AZ reports that experts say that the law on recycling is intended to update the fleet in the country.

According to statistics, over 270,000 cars have been imported into the country in 5 years. But not all of them are new, and the vast majority of these cars are used.
Transport expert Yasin Mustafayev says that the recycling fee varies depending on the year of manufacture of the car. But sending the car for recycling still depends on the driver's decision.

But what is a recycling fund?

According to the expert, there is also such a fund in world practice. While in some countries the fund's expenses are covered by the government, in most countries the fund is financed by drivers. In addition, the paid disposal fee is charged and transferred to the driver when the car is sent for disposal.
Since 70-80% of the car fleet in our country consists of cars with production date of 20 years or more, registered traffic accidents also have high degree of severity.
When conducting state technical inspection of a vehicle in cases prescribed by law, drivers, in addition to the state duty, must have a document on disposal established in accordance with the Law on Waste.
