January 18, Fineko/abc.az. Aztelekom LLC and Bakı Telefon Rabitəsi LLC (Baktelecom) are still challenging the decisions of the State Service for Antimonopoly Control & Consumer Market Control issued in connection with violations of antimonopoly legislation.

ABC.AZ reports, quoting Service’s head Mamed Abbasbeyli, that the trial is still ongoing:

"This issue will be resolved only on the basis of a final court decision. The decision made by the Service is fair."

Abbasbeyli stressed that Aztelekom and Baktelecom illegally increased tariffs for a range of services:

"The largest increase has affected tariffs for Internet services. The prices applied by the companies were 400% higher than the limit set by the state. Such actions create difficulties for business entities operating in this area."

Aztelekom informs that the decision and the order of the State Service in relation to Aztelekom LLC from 24 June 2023 was challenged in court on 21 July 2023: "Currently, litigation continues."
