January 17, Fineko/abc.az. At the beginning of 2024, 10.8% of the country's population received pensions.

ABC.AZ was informed at the State Statistics Committee that 443,800 people received monthly social benefits during this period, and 395,200 people received presidential pensions. The number of recipients of lump-sum benefits, including those appointed through contributions to compulsory state social insurance during 2023, is 169,600 people.

The lump-sum allowance was established for a specialist working in the liberated territories to maintain primary material and living conditions for the 5-year period, from January 1, 2023, its amount was set at 600 manats.
