January 16, Fineko/abc.az. Opening of a trade route between Yerevan and New Delhi through Iran is planned.

ABC.AZ reports that the trade route between India and Armenia through Iran is scheduled to open by May 2024.

Armenian Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan stated:

"Our goal is to resolve all issues by May 2024 in order to have a properly functioning trade route from the Indian port of Mumbai to Armenia through the port of Chabahar from Iran."

It was noted that the opening of the trade route will dramatically increase trade turnover to Armenia, India, Iran, and then Georgia and to the countries of the European Union in the opposite direction.
