December 30, Fineko/abc.az. Microsoft has announced an upcoming update to its line of Surface laptops and tablets.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to portal Windows Central that the devices will be equipped with new neural processors with support for artificial intelligence (AI) functions.

Models Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 will be equipped with chips Qualcomm Snapdragon X based on the ARM architecture, or 14th generation Intel processors.

Inside Microsoft, these next-generation ARM devices on Qualcomm chips are called CADMUS computers. These devices are specifically being developed for a new version of the Windows operating system, codenamed Hudson Valley, which will take advantage of many of the future capabilities of next-generation artificial intelligence.

Microsoft positions CADMUS computers as competitors to Apple devices with similar battery life, performance and security. The next models of Surface Pro and Surface Laptop are expected to be among the first CADMUS PCs to go on sale next year ahead of Hudson Valley release.
