U.S. observes sugar shortage

December 18, Fineko/abc.az. The drought in Louisiana and Mexico has recently caused a decrease in the supply of sugar in the U.S. market.

ABC.AZ reports that this forced candy manufacturers to import sugar, overpaying because of duties, and over the past year confectionery products have risen in price more than by 13% on average in the country.
