December 15, Fineko/abc.az. The Mexican government has provided tax incentives to American company Tesla for $153 million for the construction of a plant in the country, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the website of the government of the Mexican state of Nuevo Leon.

"The benefits approved by the Council of Basic Infrastructure and Support for the Creation of New Jobs in the form of a reduction in payroll tax amount to 2.627 billion pesos (about $153 million)," the state’s government noted.

The authorities added that this amount is "only 3.37% of Tesla's investment".

The approved benefits will contribute to the creation of the necessary transport infrastructure and help solve the problems of shortage of fresh water. The government of Nuevo Leon noted that Tesla's investments, which at the initial stage will invest $4.5 billion in the creation of the plant, will be a record in the history of the state.
