December 15, Fineko/abc.az. Nakhchivan Railways LLC, owned by Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY), will temporarily stop passenger transportation from January 1, 2024.

ABC.AZ reports, referring to the railway company that ADY has recently been carrying out work in our country on radical restructuring, the creation of powerful material and technical base and implementation of a modern innovative development model. Several important projects are being implemented to improve and modernize the railway infrastructure.

As continuation of the measures taken, in order to ensure timely, completely safe delivery of goods to their destination and convenient movement of passengers, the railway infrastructure in the NAR is being strengthened and reconstructed in accordance with modern standards. For this reason, passenger transportation by rail is temporarily suspended.
