December 13, Fineko/abc.az. The share of the transport sector in the Azerbaijani economy is 6%.

ABC.AZ reports that Khudayar Hasanli, the head of the Strategic Planning & Development Department of Baku International Trade Sea Port CJSC, said at the panel "Azerbaijan's ambitious place on the changing transport & logistics map: new industry needs in skills & competencies".

"For the first 10 months of 2023, the share of the transport sector in GDP amounted to $6.3 billion. In European countries, the share of the transport sector in the economy is 8-9%. In Azerbaijan, this figure is 6%. However, the transport sector has sufficient potential to increase it," he said.
