November 20, Fineko/abc.az. This year, both the number and the cost of hybrid cars imported into the country have increased.

ABC.AZ reports that according to expert economist Khalid Kerimli, exemption of cars with electric motors from VAT and introduction of customs privileges have led to an increase in the number of these vehicles. However, the ban on cars with old year of production led to the import of more modern and new cars, which increased their cost.

According to the expert, growth of imports of hybrid cars will lead to gradual renewal of the fleet in the country. The number of old cars on the market will be significantly reduced.

Kerimli noted that spread of hybrid cars creates new purchase and sale prices in the market.

The expert added that as hybrid cars imported into the country have new year of production, and are also economical, they are offered on the market at higher price.
