November 16, Fineko/abc.az. In 2022, the cargo turnover of Baku Govsan International Trade Sea Port OJSC reaches about 1 million tons.
ABC.AZ reports that port’s general director Rashad Dashdemirov at forum Caspian Week-2023 in Dubai.
Port’s general director that large construction works have been carried out in Govsan port. The port consists of 9 bridges, and there are 4 railway lines on its territory.
Dashdemirov noted that within the Caspian Week, opportunities for cooperation with companies engaged in cargo transportation are being discussed.
"We are also negotiating to attract cargo. Our goal is to increase cargo transportation on the territory of Azerbaijan, in particular from Govsan port. We hold regular meetings in this direction," he added.
The Govsan port was put into operation in 1956. Since July 2019, it has started functioning as the Baku Govsan International Trade Sea Port. Since October 2019, the port has joined the Association of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route.
