November 15, Fineko/abc.az. The U.S. government has offered assistance to India.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the foreign press that the U.S. government has submitted to India a plan to switch to electric-powered buses.

The proposal includes providing the U.S. with a $150 million payment guarantee to companies that will supply electric buses to India's state-owned transportation enterprises.

This financial support is seen as an important step in supporting India's National Electric Bus Program (NEBP), which aims to tender approximately 50,000 electric buses over the next five years.

The initiative is part of a broader strategy to promote introduction of e-mobility in India and abandonment of diesel transport in line with country's zero-cleanliness goals.
