November 3, Fineko/abc.az. Taxes on passenger and cargo transportation will change.

ABC.AZ reports that this is stated in the "Presentation of draft state and review budgets for 2024" published today by the Ministry of Finance.

As part of measures to improve the mechanism of tax control and expand the tax base to be realized next year, regulation of taxation regime of passenger and cargo transportation activity is provided.

Traffic law expert Arshad Huseynov says that under valid law, tax on cargo transportation and taxi activity is stable. And in the new draft, the tax will change on certain criteria.

In his opinion, after the entry into force of the new rule, taxes paid on freight transportation and especially on taxi services will increase.

Experts note that it is possible that as a result of increase in the tax burden, prices for cargo transportation and taxis will also increase.
