Duty cut for registration of mobile devices imported in country for personal consumption

October 24, Fineko/abc.az. The amount of state duty charged for the registration of mobile devices imported into the country by individuals for personal consumption is reduced.

ABC.AZ reports that this was reflected in the proposed amendment to the Law on State Duty, considered at a parliament meeting.

According to the draft, the amount of the state fee for registration is reduced from 20 to 15 manats for mobile devices with market price of no more than $100 and without photo, video and Internet access functions. With exception of these devices, the state duty rates for other mobile devices are also reduced.

In other words, the state duty for registration is 20 manats at the market price of mobile devices up to $100, 30 manats at the market price from $101 to $200, 40 manats at the market price from $201 to $400, 50 manats at the market price from $401 to $700, 70 manats, if the market price is from $701 to $1,000, and 100 manats if the market price exceeds $1,001.

Under valid law, the state duty for registration is 30 manats at the market price of mobile devices up to $100, 50 manats at the market price from $101 to $200, 60 manats at the market price from $201 to $400, 70 manats at the market price from $401 to $700, 100 manats at the market price from $701 to $1,000, if the market price is above $1,001, and 150 manats.

The state duty for mobile devices, the brand and model of which are not indicated on the official website of the body (institution) determined by the relevant executive authority on the date of filing an application for registration, is reduced from 20 to 15 manats.

If adopted, the law will enter into force 30 (thirty) days after its publication.

After discussion, the bill was put to the vote and adopted in the third reading.
