October 18, Fineko/abc.az. New toll road Baku – Guba – the state border with the Russian Federation is not mandatory for citizens, but an opportunity to choose, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Milli Majlis MP Vugar Bayramov.

"On free roads, the distance is long and the speed limit is low. A toll road will allow citizens to get to their destination faster. Taking into account the functionality and share in cargo transportation, the importance of the new road should be emphasized," the MP noted.

Bayramov added that the new highway will contribute to an increase in cargo transportation in the non-oil sector and development of tourism in our region: "The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia exceeds $3 billion. The new road will play an important role in increasing this trade turnover, as well as in transportation of food and industrial goods."
