October 16, Fineko/abc.az. As of October 1, 2023, the number of the unemployed registered by the local bodies of the state employment agency amounted to 230,500 people, and 37.4% of them were women. The average monthly amount of unemployment insurance payments amounted to 437.3 manats.

ABC.AZ reports that Top 10 of cities and districts with the largest number of unemployed has been compiled.

The most unemployed in Baku are 39,874 people. There are 8,684 unemployed people in Agdam district.
5,889 unemployed people are registered in Sumgait. There are 5,668 unemployed people in Lankaran district. Shamkir district took the 5th place in the list – 5,426 people.

The number of unemployed in Goychay district is 4,984 people. Zagatala is also included in the list of regions with the largest number of unemployed. According to the latest official data, 4,925 unemployed people are registered in this area.
4,854 unemployed people live in Guba district. The number of unemployed registered in Fuzuli district is 4,590 people. There are 4,481 unemployed registered in Absheron district.
