September 7, Fineko/abc.az. The cargo transportation via the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route through Kazakhstan amounted to 1.6 million tons for Jan-Jul 2023.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to railway operator Kazakhstan Temir Zholy that compared with Jan-Jul 2022, this indicator grew almost 1.9-fold.

At that, exports from Kazakhstan increased 2.5-fold up to 1.2 million tons for the reported term.

The Trans-Caspian transport route runs through China, Kazakhstan, the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan, Georgia and further to Türkiye and European countries.
