September 6, Fineko/abc.az. The EU Court of Justice has decided to lift sanctions against the former head of Ozon, Alexander Shulgin, imposed in April 2022, ABC.AZ reports, referring to court's ruling.

"The EU Court has decided to lift sanctions against Shulgin," the court said in its ruling.

The ruling says that the EU has not provided evidence why Shulgin should be considered a "leading businessman" even after resigning from the position of CEO of Ozon.

The court also defined the term "leading businessman", emphasizing that it can be either a businessman who is at the top of the rating, or a person who is not included in this rating, but can still be considered influential because of his role in large companies or the size of his assets.
