August 25, Fineko/abc.az. Russian carmaker Sollers will start production of cars at the Azerbaijani plant Azermash in autumn 2023, Marat Sharapov, sales and marketing director of Sollers Alabuga, told journalists, according to ABC.AZ.

"We have recently concluded an agreement on the development of cooperation with Azerbaijan.  We will hold the official opening of this project in autumn. This will be our first export market," he said.

Sharapov added that the company also plans to enter the markets of other countries.

Sollers and Azermash signed an agreement in May, according to which the automaker will establish the production of light commercial vehicles using Russian components at the facilities of the Azerbaijani enterprise.
