President Ilham Aliyev approved the law on amendments to the Law "On Licenses and Permits".

According to ABC.AZ, in accordance with the updated law, the licensing requirements for passenger and cargo transportation have been replaced by permit requirements.
Thus, persons providing services for the transportation of passengers and goods by road in Azerbaijan will have to obtain a permit. These permissions are as follows:
- Pass for international cargo and irregular transportation issued to operators for road transportation between Azerbaijan and foreign countries;
- Pass for domestic registered transportation;
- Pass for passenger transportation by passenger cars taxi;
- Permission for the activity of the taxi order operator.

The law comes into force on October 1, 2023.
