Japan's automotive giant Toyota will partner with Pony.ai, one of China's leading autonomous driving technology companies, to serve robot taxis in China.

ABC.AZ reports that Toyota will supply electric vehicles to Pony.ai, while the Chinese company will equip them with autonomous driving technology and a robot taxi network platform.

The two companies plan to start a partnership later this year.
