July 13, Fineko/abc.az. The population of Azerbaijan as of June 1, 2023 amounted to 10,148,057 people (with the exception of the population on the territory of Azerbaijan, where the Russian peacekeeping contingent is temporarily stationed).

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that 54.6% of the population are urban residents, 45.4% are rural residents, 49.8% are men, 50.2% are women.
