June 20, Fineko/abc.az. WhatsApp messenger has two new features: "Mute for unknown numbers" and "Privacy Check", which, according to the company, will increase the level of privacy and security of messenger users.

ABC.AZ reports that disabling the sound for unknown numbers will allow you to automatically filter spam, as well as ignore unwanted calls from unknown numbers.

This feature was added after reports of an increasing trend in the number of spam calls, especially affecting India.

When activated, this feature disables all audio and visual alerts in the app. However, these calls will still be displayed in the "Calls" tab in the list of recent calls marked "unknown caller disconnected" in case you want to check if there are important ones there.
