June 16, Fineko/abc.az. Statistical data on the purchase of housing by foreigners in Türkiye in May has been published.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Turkish Statistical Committee that Azerbaijani citizens bought 75 apartments in Türkiye for May 2023 and in May 2022 - 118 apartments.

In the first 5 months of 2023 (Jan-May), Azerbaijani citizens bought 336 apartments in Türkiye. This number reached 571 apartments for Jan-May 2022.

The rise in the price of housing in Türkiye and the collapse of buildings as a result of earthquakes lead to a decrease in purchases.

Compared with April 2023, Azerbaijani citizens bought 21 more apartments in May. In April, Azerbaijanis bought 54 apartments in Türkiye, and last year — 1,330 apartments.
