June 13, Fineko/abc.az. The number of Tesla cars running only on electricity has become known as of January 1, 2023 in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports that this is stated in the published indicators for passenger car brands across the country.

As of this date, there are 99 Tesla cars in Azerbaijan.

Tesla cars are manufactured by Tesla, Inc. or Tesla Motors. The most productive models of the company are Model 3, Model S and Tesla Semi.

In 2022, Tesla, Inc. produced 1,369,611 cars.

The State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan presents official statistics on the import of these cars since 2020. 167 electric vehicles were imported from abroad in 2020, 160 in 2021 and 486 in 2022.

The first 4 months of 2023 also surpassed the previous 12 months. This year, 568 e-cars were imported into the country.

Over the past 3 years, the 15% import customs duty on passenger cars with electric motors has been reduced to zero percent in order to stimulate and encourage the use of eco-friendly vehicles.
