June 12, Fineko/abc.az. Public transport is not interesting to the population.

ABC.AZ reports that Transport Minister Rashad Nabiyev said this at today's meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Industry & Entrepreneurship.

The minister noted that public transport is not interesting to operators as business:

“Therefore, there was a need to create a digital twin of Baku. It has already started since last October and there will be a presentation at the end of July. After that, we’ll know what to invest in. First, we tried to amend the legislation to ensure mobility in Baku. Freight and passenger transportation has already been fully liberalized. The changes we propose today should set clear standards.”
