May 10, Fineko/abc.az. The WhatsApp messenger team has organized testing of a function that allows you to edit already sent messages in WhatsApp Web.

ABC.AZ reports that some participants of the beta testing program got access to the editing feature.

To make edits, you need to select the "Edit Message" action in the menu for this message. You can edit text messages in both personal and group chats.

You can edit sent messages only within the first 15 minutes after sending, but an unlimited number of times.

The developers note that the time limit is set to preserve the authenticity of the conversation and is designed to prevent the meaning of messages from changing over time.

Mainly, the function is designed to correct typos. So far, the new feature is supported only by the web version of WhatsApp, but soon it should appear in mobile applications.
