Abolition of customs duty not to affect much budget of citizens

May 2, Fineko/abc.az. The exemption of tropical fruits from the 15% customs duty will have positive effect on prices, ABC.AZ reports, citing economist-expert Natig Jafarli.

According to Jafarli, it is logical that all products exempt from duties should become cheaper.

"The exemption of tropical fruits from the 15% customs duty will affect prices to some extent. It is even possible to reduce prices. Since tropical fruits are not products of daily demand, this decision will not have significant impact on the budget of citizens. As these are products that take up little space in the diet of Azerbaijan," the economist said.
