Bosch to buy chip manufacturer TSI Semiconductors

April 27, Fineko/abc.az. Bosch will acquire the assets of American chip manufacturer TSI Semiconductors to expand its semiconductor business with silicon carbide (SiC) chips.

ABC.AZ reports that the company plans to increase the production of power semiconductors for cars, including electric vehicles.

The acquisition includes an investment of $1.5 bn over the next few years to upgrade the production facilities of TSI Semiconductors in Roseville.

The company plans to start producing automotive semiconductors on 200 mm silicon carbide wafers starting from 2026.
