April 26, Fineko/abc.az. The amount of road tax levied by the Iranian side for transportation of dangerous goods from vehicles transporting fuel to Nakhchivan has been reduced by $320 and other expenses by $25.

ABC.AZ was informed at the Ministry of Digital Development & Transport of Azerbaijan that now Azerbaijani carriers pay $175 instead of $520 when transporting dangerous goods to or from Iran.

The calculation of the amount of tax for the transportation of goods by heavy vehicles was also approved, not from 38, but from 41 tons. And for cars without cargo, the amount of duty has been reduced from $105 to $85.

The agreed exemptions apply from this month. As a result, the costs of national carriers engaged in international road transport in this direction have decreased almost 3-fold. This will make serious contribution to improving the financial condition of carriers and the rapid renewal of the fleet of vehicles.
