April 14, Fineko/abc.az. Twitter owner Elon Musk has announced the launch of monetization of user content on the social network.
ABC.AZ reports that according to Musk, within 12 months users will receive funds from subscribers minus the commission of payment systems.
"Apply to offer a subscription to any of your material, from detailed text to an hour-long video! Just click on "Monetization" in the settings," Musk wrote on his account.
Musk clarified that the iOS and Android platforms charge 30% commission each. After the first year, this commission will be reduced to 15%, but Twitter has added its own, the size of which will be "small".
"We’ll also promote your work. Our goal is to maximize the prosperity of authors. You can leave our platform at any time and take your work with you," Musk noted.
