Russia to develop new technology for satellite’s direct communication with cell phone

April 12, Fineko/abc.az. Russian corporation Roscosmos intends to create a satellite communication technology to allow making calls to a regular mobile phone without using subscriber equipment, ABC.AZ reports with reference to Roscosmos.

Such technologies still allow transmitting insignificant amounts of information. This includes sending SMS messages only.
