Azerbaijan increases import of tractors and trailers

April 12, Fineko/abc.az. The development of international road transport, and measures taken to increase the market share of national carriers have led to the attraction of new investments in this area.

ABC.AZ reports that this is evidenced by a sharp increase in the number of tractors (TIR) and trailers imported in Azerbaijan.

According to Ministry of Digital Development & Transport’s statistics, the number of tractors imported into the country in the 1st quarter of 2023 amounted to 1,229 tractors, and 1,208 trailers and semi–trailers.

Compared with the 2022 same term, imports of tractors grew by 193%, and trailers and semi-trailers by 225%.

So, in the 1st quarter of 2022 our country imported 420 tractors, 371 trailers and semi-trailers.
