April 11, Fineko/abc.az. "There was such information that the government is preparing a special project concerning drug prices. However, despite the fact that a lot of time has passed, there is still no information about this project. Because high drug prices are one of the serious problems."

ABC.AZ reports that this opinion was expressed by Milli Majlis MP Vahid Ahmadov, speaking at the parliament plenary session on 11 April.

The chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Healthcare, Ahliman Amiraslanov, stated that in response to his colleague's comments, said that the Ministry of Health and the government are working together on a document concerning not only the price of medicines, but also quality, accessibility and other problems in this area:

"Work on the preparation of the document is nearing completion. I think it will be ready soon. Thus, it is supposed to solve the existing problems related to medicines."
