April 10, Fineko/abc.az. The best-selling car in Europe in 2022 was the Peugeot 208. Before that, for 14 years, the Volkswagen Golf was always at the top.
ABC.AZ reports that in 2022, it dropped to 5th place.
During the year, Europeans bought 206,816 French hatchbacks. This is 5% more than in 2021.
In 2nd place is budget Dacia Sandero: 200,550 cars and an increase of 1%.
Volkswagen T-Roc crossover became the 3rd, showing a result of 181,153 cars (minus 3% for the year).
Next in Top 10 are Fiat 500 (179,863 cars, +3%), Volkswagen Golf (177,203 cars, -14%), Toyota Yaris (175,713 cars, -4%), Opel/Vauxhall Corsa (164,358 cars, -9%), Hyundai Tucson (150,803 cars, +1%), Dacia Duster (149,648 cars, +2%) and Renault Clio (143,561 cars, -27%).
