Baku port’s cargo transshipment for 7 years more than doubled

March 15, Fineko/abc.az. Over the past 7 years, the volume of cargo transshipment at the Baku International Sea Trade Port has more than doubled.

ABC.AZ reports that State Customs Committee’s deputy chairman Natig Shirinov stated about his at a multilateral meeting held in Baku on the project of simplification of the transit customs procedure (Data pipeline) on one stop shop principle on the Trans-Caspian International transport route East-West.

"The volume of cargo transshipment in phase I amounted to 15 million tons. In recent years, we have achieved an increase in transit cargo transportation due to investments in infrastructure projects and are now ready to accept more cargo," he said.
