March 3, Fineko/abc.az. After the earthquakes that shook Turkiye and warnings related to this region, Istanbul residents are moving to the outskirts of the city.

ABC.AZ reports that in the last 10 days the number of people leaving Istanbul has almost reached a peak in the past 20 years.

"During this period of the season, when there were usually few people moving, before the earthquake, two or three people a day called our companies, and now this number has grown to an average of 20-25 people. There is migration from Istanbul to almost every region. Basically, they express concern about the dilapidation of their homes," said Ali Ayilmazdir, the chairman of the House-to-House Transportation Association.

He added that in Istanbul they receive more requests for transportation, especially from the European part.

"There is a great demand to the Black Sea region from Beylikduzu, Avdjilar, Bagjilar, Safakey, Pendik and Kartal. And in the Anatolian part there is a large number of migrants from Kadikey. Most people are still doing earthquake tests. We think that after the tests, the number will increase," he emphasized.
