February 28, Fineko/abc.az. For security reasons, the Government of Canada has banned the use of Chinese social network Tik Tok on official mobile devices given to civil servants since 1 March, ABC.AZ reports with reference to The National Post.

Ottawa will officially announce this on 28 February. The paper notes that the applications of the Chinese social network on the official mobile devices of civil servants are subject to deletion. According to Canadian government’s experts in the field of information security, the data collection methods used in the TikTok application can make users vulnerable to cyber attacks.

According to the paper, this directive was sent on Monday to the staff of the Canadian Foreign Ministry.
